AFC’s Commitment to Sustainability under the Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)
The Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) will impact textile products in the EU market starting in 2025. By 2030, all textile products placed on the EU market will need to be:
-Durable, repairable, and recyclable
-Largely made from recycled fibers
-Free of hazardous substances
-Produced with respect for social rights and the environment
The ESPR will not only affect the consumer market but also textiles for industrial use. We could expect cleanroom and medical textiles to be included. As an integral part of the European technical textile supply chain, we are ready to contribute to circular, sustainable, and transparent value chains for our clients with our expertise and commitment to designing and producing top-notch reusable garments. These garments directly tackle waste issues, cost inefficiencies, and social injustice from the origin of our materials to the end of production. We inspire the change in the supply chain and we help our clients to lead the way towards net-zero economy beyond the EU regions. We only have one planet Earth.
