What counts as a circular, recycling loop within the technical textile industry?

Five years ago, AFC embarked on a journey towards sustainable production practices with post-consumer recycled yarns. We realized that simply using such recycled yarns wasn’t good enough for the specific textile value chain we strive to contribute to, and therefore not good enough for our planet. So we pushed further and looked around ourselves to spot all the unused, leftover materials in our production house.

After countless experiments, we now produce highly functional textile products by client orders using pre-consumer materials that come from our production residuals. In other words, there’s no overproduction nor textile waste at AFC as every single material is reused to create maximum value. Yes – zero waste with max value. This is our step forward in co-creating a happy planet with our business partners and clients.
